Are there any new treatments for Ozone Caused Wheezing?

It has recently been discovered that ozone, which is a common air pollutant, also causes inflammation and irritation in the air passages in the lungs thus giving rise to wheezing. This results in the congestion of the airways inside the lungs and makes breathing difficult. What must be noted is that this is especially harmful for people who already have breathing problems such as asthma or other chronic diseases and thus should be handled with utmost care.

A particular sugar compound known as Hyalronan has been found to be directly responsible for the restriction and irritations of the air passages. Prominent researchers believe that this particular sugar compound can result in asthma symptoms in humans.  Fortunately, it has also been found out that certain proteins can remedy the harmful effects of Hyalronan and can also be effective in asthma treatment.

Researchers however were unable to make a compound of the protein and the Hyalronan and as a result have targeted changing the sugar pharmacologically. In this manner they hope to render the compound harmless and bring about the necessary treatment.
