Are there Different Types of Asthma? |
Asthma is a common, but incurable, breathing disorder that affects many people all around the world. Like the severity and length, the types of asthma can also vary amongst different patients. The most common types of asthma include atopic or allergic asthma, nonatopic or nonallergic asthma, exercise-induced asthma, nocturnal asthma, occupational asthma, and pregnancy-related asthma.
Non-Allergic asthma is triggered by respiratory or sinusitis infections, drug or chemical irritants, and is mainly found in adults.
Nocturnal asthma, as the name refers, is any type of asthma that worsens in the night.
Pregnancy-related asthma refers to asthmatic problems that can create complications in a pregnancy. It has been seen that pregnant asthmatic patients have experienced rapid deterioration of their asthma conditions during the timeframe of their pregnancy. To determine the type of asthma, it is recommended to consult a doctor by discussing the symptoms, and get the proper medications necessary to prevent or stop an upcoming asthma attack.
