How to Differentiate Bronchial Asthma?

The most notable symptom of asthma is the swelling of their bronchial tubes, which in turn causes their breathing tubes to contract. This leads to a feeling of suffocation, and a definite incapability to inhale air in and out freely.

Bronchial asthma symptoms can appear of their own accord, or their presence may be introduced by a host of external factors (called 'triggers'), the likes of which include coming in contact with cold air, smoke from cigarettes, pollutants present in the air, infections, stress and allergies to certain things. Not all asthmatics are vulnerable to all types of triggers, and they vary from individual to individual.

When having an asthmatic reaction, a person's bronchial muscles are stretched tightly, his/her bronchial tubes undergo severe constrictions, and the already narrowed pathways of his/her respiratory tract are clogged with increased amounts of mucus. All in all, this makes breathing very hard.

Bronchial asthma symptoms asthma are irregular and diverse, varying immensely amongst patients. Most cases of asthma do not last for more than a few days, but in certain severe cases, professional medical care must be sought.
