How to manage stress with Asthma?

Amidst the busy lifestyle that people lead these days, stress seems to be an almost unavoidable factor. While some experience it more than others, everyone is bound to get stressed at some point of the day.  So, naturally it is imperative to find methods of managing stress, especially for people diagnosed with asthma. A person can simply avoid asthma attacks if he learns how to stay calm before becoming stressed. Here are some tips how you can manage stress:

  • First and foremost learn to modify your thought process and start thinking in a way that will make you feel less stressed. What we think, who we think about, how we think about - are all part of the thought process and if this is under control then stress can be largely avoided.

Avoid whatever there is in your life that causes stress. Be it personal or professional, think as little of them as possible and don’t let them take over your mind.

  • Learn to feel confident about yourself. This is a very powerful tactic, as a person who completely believes in himself will naturally stay calm in stressful situations and thus avoid coming down with an asthma attack.
